We have successfully conducted Plantation Programmes in May 2015, April 2016, October 2017, November 2018 and July 2019 with the active participation of all the members of the trust.
For the first time in Balasore, a Gau Health Camp was co-organised by the Gaushala Management, UMANG - Lion's Club Balasore and Odisha Livestock Development Society.
Under the leadership of Dr D N Patra (Retd CDVO) and his colleagues Dr D G Nayak (Retd CDVO), Dr S N Mahapatra (Retd CDVO) , Dr Balabhadra Panda (Retd CDVO) , Dr T R Pati (Retd Dty Director) Dr R K Dutta (Retd CDVO), Sri Kailash Nayak (Retd VT), Sri K K Das (Retd VT) and assistant Sri Anath Giri and Sri Dwivedy a total of 162 cattle were treated with free medicine, thus commencing to a success.
On the auspicious occasion of MAKAR SANKRANTI, a Blanket and Food Distribution Programme was conducted to help more than 200 needy persons.
Azolla is rich in proteins, essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals hence it is used for sustainable production of cattlefeed. An enormous increase in quantity and quality of milk production is seen by using Azolla.
Green fodder is the staple food of cattle.To fulfill this requirement SBN-10 and NB-21 quality fodder is being cultivated in an 2.63 acre land.
Environment has been the focal point of this project. To reduce the use of wood in funeral pyre so as to save trees, a machine has been set up that produces logs of cowdung. It is known that burning of cow dung produces a good amount of oxygen hence this shall produce a positive impact in the environment.
